About Empire Window Company
Exceptional Service Since 1960
Empire Window Company was founded in 1960 by Morrie Kronick. At that time there were a handful of companies that specialized in window replacement services. Triple-track aluminum frame windows were the newest convenient replacement for storm windows.
Morrie's business grew across Northeast Ohio, and his windows could be found in every neighborhood. His greatest joy was doing business with the grandchildren of customers he had worked with 30 to 40 years earlier. In the '60's, business was done on a handshake — things were different back then.
In 1965 Morrie's son Allen started in the window business, knocking on doors to find new customers. He was 15 years old.
In 1978 Allen became president of Empire Window Company, and 2 years later he was one of about ten companies that sold vinyl replacement windows in Northeast Ohio. Most of those companies are now out of business.
Empire has survived almost 50 years due to strong business ethics that were adopted in the early days. "Keeping to our word" and "good, honest prices" have earned Empire thousands of repeat customers and referrals over the years.
We look forward to the future, with low maintenance, easy-to-clean, and more energy-efficient windows to help customers bring their sky-high heating bills down to earth.
